Spit... who knew?
So, I'm teaching one of my swim classes and having some amazing fun with my kids... one problem though. My strongest swimmer is stopping at each lap to change his goggles. One after the other is too foggy. What to do? I can't get mad and blame him, though I did doubt that EVERY pair was malfunctional, but what to do? When the idea came to me I just had to laugh. I remember when I swam in highschool my teacher told me to spit in my goggles. I've never been a girly girl, so it wasn't an issue for me... some of the other girls gagged at the idea of looking through spit, but it's helps the goggles stay less foggy. My kid (a boy) was all ears for something that would fix his goggles. When the words "spit in your goggles to make them better" came out of my mouth, I have never seen someone light up and become so excited! He hunched over and tried his best to make the most disgusting hacking sound, then out came spit. His wide grin spread accross his face as he smeared it in with his thumb. Problem solved :)

Positively, absolutely, what?
So I've been thinking a bit about thinking positively... not a huge revelation, I know ;) I think when we go through life and are tried, go through he fire, etc. It's easy to loose focus and forget the calling, forget who we are meant to be. I want to reach the height of my potential, not for success' sake, but because it's what I can do so why not do it? I am created in God's image, that counts for a lot :) and I'm tired of being tired, I'm sick of being underfed. You might ask what the heck does that mean!? Well, here's the thing. I underfeed myself... whether it's knowledge, music, experiences... I'm doing myself a huge disfavor. But, that being said, I'm still thinking positively because that's what life is all about, right? Hope=thoughts=actions=destiny. I'm excited about the future, and while it still scares me, I'm pumped for that challenge... I want to conquer! Not be conquered. So, to all who read this... There's no victory without a battle.
